Recently, The Geofront teambest known for creating the awesome fan translation patches for The Legend of Heroes: The Trails of Zero and The legend of heroes: the paths of Azure (also used as the basis for upcoming official localizations), announced a collective effort to educate Falcom fans about the company’s history beforeDragon hunter.
With that practice in mind, they released a translation fix for an old Falcom title that I’m sure at least 99% of us have never heard of before, computer golf, which is a kind of golf simulator. Unfortunately, there is no known specific release date for this title, although it was supposed to have launched between May and October 1983. For those who don’t know, Falcom was initially a computer consulting company in 1981 before various factors happened leading them to become the video game developer they are today.
Suppose you are curious about this rather unknown Falcom game. In that case, I would encourage reading the full blog post on Geofront’s website, where they go into more detail on company history, patch installation information, and more. Shawnji goes into great detail about the circumstances surrounding Falcom’s debut and this particular title.
The team is currently working on dinosaur resurrection.
